Border Patrol officials issued statements this week that agents are not targeting schools, school buses, or churches to find and remove illegal aliens. The statements follow false claims by teachers and others that agents are targeting children in schools.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will visit Del Rio, Texas, on Sunday to meet with Border Patrol staff and rank-and-file agents. The staff will provide Noem with an operational briefing.
According to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, the United States repatriated 5,282 migrants to Mexico during the first seven days following President Donald Trump’s inauguration. During a Thursday morning press briefing, Sheinbaum told reporters that less than 4,500 returnees were Mexican nationals.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott launched a billboard campaign in Mexico and Central America, warning of the consequences of illegal migrants to the Lone Star State. One billboard asks migrant parents, “How much did you pay to have your daughter raped?”
