New Anitbeet Productions Logo

January 8, 2016 A Thug's Redemption  No comments

It has been two years since I’ve updated this blog and I feel a need to apologize tremendously. So much has happened in the two years that it’s been since I last posted an entry. I’ve been to the Houston Black Book Festival, I’ve published two more books and am in the process of publishing my fifth novel. And on September 11, 2014, I gave birth to a baby girl named Dallas. I’ve been a busy little bee.

For three years since I self-published my first novel, A Thug’s Redemption, I’ve been trying to come up with a logo for Anitbeet Productions. I’ve tried getting my brother to design a logo for me but I guess he thought he was too good. (Eye roll). It’s a damn shame that even when offered money for a person’s talents, they don’t want to work. So I put it off and just worked with the little graphic I created in 2012. But one day, the graphic design Gods smiled down on me LOL and sent me an angel. I was browsing through my Instagram timeline when I came across a friend of mine who went to high-school with me. She posted something she’d drawn and it was freaking AMAZING! Why in the hell didn’t I think to go to her from the damn giddy-up! I told her what I had in mine and asked if she would be able to create something for me and she did a hell of an awesome, kick-ass job! So drum roll please!

Anitbeet ProductionsI was in love with it the moment I laid eyes on this! It was perfect for my personality and what I hope to turn this company into in the next few years. She nailed it. So of course, I have to do a completely new website lay-out that mirrors this beauty. I more than likely will start working on it this weekend.

So what can you expect from Yani and Anitbeet Productions in 2016? Well, if I have my way and I plan to work extremely hard so that I CAN have my way, you can expect nothing but great things. As I said in the beginning of this post, I just completed my fifth novel which is called “Love’s Deadly Masquerade”. I am still working on “Ebony Femme Fatale”  and there is a surprise cameo appearance from Jamal and Dante aka D-Ball from the A Thug’s Redemption series at the end of “Love’s Deadly Masquerade”. And while the A Thug’s Redemption series has come to an end, readers can expect a spin-off crime/thriller/suspense novel with Jamal and D-Ball coming this summer. I will definitely be making more appearances at book festivals this year. You can catch me at the Harlem Book Fair this summer, as well as the Baltimore Book Festival and many more.

I am also working on the script for A Thug’s Redemption and will be posting a blog in the next month or so notifying readers of a casting call for the main characters in that book. This will be an independent film that I am hoping to have done in time for submission into the Sundance Film festival as well as other Independent Film Festivals coming up next year. And I also have a children’s book series that will be coming out towards the end of the summer, in time for the 2016-2017 school year called Gullible Gabby. Gabby is curious and inquisitive little girl who has a bad habit of believing everything she is told no matter how far fetch things may seem. In these stories, Gabby will learn to think for herself and to not be so quick to believe everything she hears until she can prove the information to be true or false. Through those books, I want to teach children how critical thinking skills as well as other life lessons that most children miss out early on in life.

I don’t want to give away too much, just expect to see Yani and Novels by Yani everywhere this year. And who knows, maybe I will make it to the New York Time’s best seller’s list. Hmmm.

In the meantime, subscribe to this blog as well as my other blog The Official website of Yani to stay up to date with the what’s happenings with Anitbeet Productions and Yani. And for those of you who are unaware, there is an A Thug’s Redemption 3: The Wrath of Andre which concludes the series. It’s action packed and filled with drama and suspense. I also have an erotic drama “Obsessive Intimacies” that was number 12 in Romance on the Amazon Best Seller’s list in 2014. The A Thug’s Redemption series and Obsessive Intimacies can be found on Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Nook, Smashwords, ibooks, Google Books, Kobo and all other ebook readers.
